Myslavsky, dedicated to the first decade of game cinema. The author "equipped" his essay with numerous references to pre-revolutionary film magazines and beautiful iconographic material. Footage from "pre-revolutionary" films is all the more valuable because the tapes themselves have hardly survived.

A special place in the book is occupied by a purely theoretical approach to the phenomena of Ukrainian cinema offered by V. Horpenko. The author considers the history of cinema as an architectural typology, focusing on the analysis of a variety of types, genres, stylistic directions, on the transformation of life observations into specific, concrete forms of artistic works. Film festivals Today, the Ukrainian film industry is at the stage of its heyday and is reaching the level of popularity. This is confirmed by the large number of events that support and promote Ukrainian cinema. An example of one of these events is the "Modern Ukrainian Cinema" festival, which took place on the territory of the Mykhailo Hrushevsky Odesa Regional Scientific Library.
