A separate milestone of Ukrainian cinema is the screen adaptation of works of classical literature: "Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors" (1964), "Ukraine on Fire" (1967), "Stone Cross" (1968), "Natalka Poltavka" (1978), "Black Council" (2000 ) etc. Such films primarily convey the Ukrainian flavor: scenery, picturesque landscapes of Ukrainian lands, language diversity. The first film studio in Hollywood was founded in 1911. Later, four major film companies were created - "Paramount Pictures" (1912 p.), "Warner Brothers" (1918 p.), "Columbia Pictures" (1919 p.), "Metro Goldwyn Mayer » (1924 p.), whose studios were in Hollywood, as well as several smaller companies. The first film that started the history of Hollywood was the western directed by Cecil B. de Mille, Indian Man.

Cinematic art plays a very important role in the culture of the United States. Every year, film companies in the United States release hundreds of films that attract millions of viewers to theaters and bring in billions of dollars. Today, Hollywood cinema is an ideological tool — a symbol of modern America and a means of shaping the country's image on the world stage.
